"Tropical" Thanksgiving Turkey
For a savory bird with all the mouth watering flavors of tarragon, basil, fennel with a perfect combination of onion , garlic and 15 other delicous herbs and spices use the "Tropical Blend".
Make a wet rub by mixing the spice in a light olive oil:
1/3 cup oil for a half jar of spice for a small turkey or double that amount for a larger bird---
Rub turkey with the mixture at least 2 hours before cooking in a 275 degree oven---about 3hrs for a small bird 10-15 lbs and 5 hrs for a larger one (when thermometer reaches165 degrees--- or when you can twist the leg bone out of joint) .
For the stuffing:
I will just say to use your favorite recipe and add Volcano Spice in place of any other seasonings (one teaspoon of spice for each cup of stuffing).
"OTHER IDEAS"
Use your favorite Blend following the recipe above.
Mild, Medium, Blazing hot, Peppercorn, Sezchwan, Green Thai, Island style, or the Jawaiian Style.
"One of my Favorites"
For an awsome spicy flavor coat the turkey thoroughly with tobasco sauce then rub or shake on the Maui Bay seasoning.
"One more"
Blend together: 1 cup--honey and oil (or melted butter) 50-50 and coat turkey thoroughy with mixture---Then season generously with Hawaiian Style (just shake it on) Remember to baste turkey once or twice in the last hour cooking.
